The Kent County Master Gardeners are planning a series of workshops for the community from June through August. Classes are held at the University of Delaware Cooperative Extension Office, Paradee Center, 69 Transportation Circle, Dover, DE. Contact the Extension Office at 302-730-4000 to register. GARDENING SMARTER, NOT HARDER:ACCESSIBLE GARDENING Tuesday, June 18, 2019 1:00 – 3:00 PM
Gardening for a lifetime? Yes! This presentation will discuss the benefits of gardening and some adaptive techniques to make gardening easier, less draining, and much more enjoyable for those with physical limitations. This engaging conversation will highlight accessible gardening tips and real-life practical solutions. Participants will have the opportunity to handle easy-to-use gardening products and share their own accessible gardening tips.
Wednesday, July 17, 2019 1:00-4:00 PM Limited to 15 participants Fee – $20
Get out of the heat and join us for a floral design class! Learn how to make a centerpiece. Flowers will be provided, but please bring small leaved foliage if you have it to share. You will need a round bowl, a block of Oasis (do not soak ahead of time) and a pair of shears.

Is your vegetable garden done for the year? Think again! Use the principle of succession planting to start a new cool-weather crop for fall! Learn how to grow greens and use nature’s produce to make a nice salad. Top it off with these end-of-summer vegetable and a fresh herb dressing.
