This hands-on workshop will begin with a presentation discussing the Crape Myrtle: its origins, how to choose the variety that would fit best in your landscape, and how to plant and prune. Following the presentation, we will go outside to the Crape Myrtles, review what we learned, decide what shape would be best for each tree, and go about pruning them. Please bring work gloves and pruners.

Design a Thanksgiving cornucopia, or you may create a centerpiece in a green design bowl or a small bowl of your choice. Provide your own fall accessories such as pumpkins on picks, corn, small fruits and vegetables, small pine cones, wheat, cattails, etc. If your cornucopia is made of a basket material, bring a small bowl to fit inside to hold wet Oasis. In addition, bring a pair of shears and a block or cylinder of green floral Oasis for fresh flower designs. Flowers and greenery will be provided.
