Become a Master Gardener

Delaware Master Gardeners engaged in a session focused on Pest and Disease Identification.

The 2017 Delaware Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Training Program is scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays from September 6 through November 29.  In New Castle County, the sessions are scheduled from 1-4 pm.  In Kent and Sussex Counties, the sessions are scheduled from 9 am to 12:30 pm.  Most training will be held at your county Extension Office. Some training sessions will require travel to another location to learn with your fellow trainees from the other two counties. Carpooling is encouraged.  As a member of the 2017 Delaware Master Gardener training class, you are expected to complete the course of study, volunteer 40 hours, and gain an additional 5 hours of advanced training by November 1, 2018, to become a Master Gardener.  Please reference the Frequently Asked Questions document for additional information.
