Indoor plants improve the aesthetics of indoor spaces such as homes, schools, and office buildings. Some indoor plants have shown an ability to improve indoor air quality. For gardeners that may feel disconnected from their landscape in the off season, or need a space to shelter their tender plants until warmer weather returns, indoor plants can provide a year-round connection to the garden, and add color and liveliness to an indoor setting too. Finally, growing plants in containers, inside, also provides an opportunity for those with limited or no outdoor planting space, to exercise their green thumbs on plant stands, windowsills, and in other opportune indoor spaces.
