IM40 – What’s your number?

Life skills development and prevention education are two aspects of 4-H positive youth development. By working together in the community, we help young people learn to make healthier life choices. Thanks to our partnership with the United Way and AstraZeneca on the Young Health Program IM40 initiative, we are able to touch youth and the community and expand our healthy living initiatives.

The Young Health Program IM40 proactively helps youth discover their strengths and Assets, encouraging them to expand on the Assets they have, build the Assets they don’t have, and share their Assets with others. The 40 Developmental Assets, created by Search Institute, are a model for positive youth development. The IM40 movement engages not only youth, but parents, teachers, neighbors & neighborhood groups, and other adults with the shared goal of providing opportunities for youth to build and increase their Assets throughout their community.
