IM:40 – What’s your number?

Life skills development and prevention education are one aspect of 4-H youth development. There is so much more. By working together in the community, we help young people learn to make healthier life choices. Thanks to our partnership with the United Way and AstraZeneca on the Young Health Program IM:40 initiative, we are able to touch youth and the community and expand our healthy living initiatives.

The Young Health Program IM:40 proactively helps youth discover their strengths and Assets, encouraging them to build on the Assets they have, acquire as many of the Assets they don’t have, and share their Assets with others. The 40 Developmental Assets, created by Search Institute, are a model for positive youth development. The IM:40 movement engages not only youth, but parents, teachers, neighbors and neighborhood groups, and other adults with the shared goal of providing opportunities for youth to build and increase their Assets throughout their community. View the 40 Asset List for youth ages 12-18 under Resources below.
