Childcare Provider Resources

UD Cooperative Extension provides child care training in each county. Topics include Dining with Diabetes, Servsafe and Dinesafe. These courses are approved through the Delaware Institute for Excellence in Early Care (DIEEC) and meet the requirements of the Delaware Office of Child Care Licensing (OCCL).

Training can be scheduled onsite for groups of 15 or more. Contact the county extension office to set up these programs.

Better Kid Care Online Training
University of Delaware Cooperative Extension is in partnership with Penn State Cooperative Extension Better Kid Care Programs  that provide low cost online training to child care providers

For a listing of possible programs and to register for online training go to the Better Kid Care Online website and click on distance education.

These courses are currently accepted as Community training through the Office of Child Care Licensing. Upon completion of the course, you will receive a certificate of completion which you can use to document your training for Delaware OCCL.
