Delaware is home to almost 900,000 people living within 231,000 families. These individuals work hard, manage their family resources, raise children and support their local communities. UD Cooperative Extension provides programs for families through education, applied research, and outreach to improve the quality of their lives.
In addition, Family and Consumer Science educators provide professional development opportunities for those professionals who provide products and services to Delawareans Family members, child care providers, family service professionals, teachers, restaurant owners and staff, food entrepreneurs, agricultural producers and food industry personnel all benefit from family and consumer science program initiatives.
