December 20, 2012 in Kent County, Kent County Slideshow
Kent County 4-H recently recognized 4-H members and clubs in Kent County as the recipients of various annual community service volunteer awards. Citizenship is one of three national mandates of the National 4-H Program so youth are strongly encouraged and guided to provide volunteer service throughout the year in an effort to help make a difference in the lives of others.
The Kent County 4-H Order of Links recognized county 4-H members who volunteered 50 or more hours in their community. Each recipient was presented a Kent County 4-H Volunteer Service Award certificate by this group. One hundred and fifty five
youth were recognized with this award, and collectively, these youth volunteered over 19,049 service hours during the past year in their communities.
