Individuals throughout Delaware lack basic knowledge and current research-based choices on renewable natural resource stewardship in our rural and urban communities.
Through identifying critical issues of concern to Delaware residents regarding forestry, wildlife management, water conservation, soil health and recycling of natural resources, I was able to provide 29 educational experiences (via. workshops, field day events, tours, classrooms, interactive exhibits, training and conferences) to 1,819 individuals. Phone assistance, along with e-mail responses and office visitations, provided a positive influenced to an additional 127 individuals.
As a result of my direct contact with these 1, 946 individuals, they gained awareness and increased their capability to become better environmental stewards within their communities and extend this information through their personal interactions.Credit to: Dorothy Abbott June 2013
