Continuing Education for Nutrient Management

If you are certified by the Delaware Nutrient Management Program you will need to attend programs that offer continuing education units to maintain your certification. The number of continuing education units that you need depends on your level of certification.

Nutrient Generators must attend 6 hours of continuing education before their certification expires (every three years). Private Nutrient Handlers must attend 6 hours of continuing education before their certification expires (every three years). Commercial Nutrient Handlers must attend 6 hours of continuing education before their certification expires (every three years). Nutrient Consultants must attend 5 hours of continuing education every year. Please remember that any credits beyond the number you need to renew your certification, six credits every three years for Nutrient Generators, Private Nutrient Handlers, Commercial Nutrient Handlers and five credits every year for Nutrient Consultants, CANNOT be carried over into your next certification period.

Some programs are offered annually. If the program agenda has not changed you can only receive credit for attending the program ONCE during a THREE YEAR PERIOD.
