Judging is making a decision and telling why that decision is made. Judging competitions allow youth to compare two or more items and explain why they think one is better than the other. The main purpose behind judging contests is to teach 4-H’ers decision making skills. Youth will be expected to make decisions based on the material included in the judging guide.
