Communities In Schools, Wrap Around Delaware, and Delaware Services for Children, Youth and Families Residential Cottages contacted 4-H to inquire about Health Rocks! programming and expressed their needs. We listened and worked with them to develop the best kind of training that would be both suitable and impactful for their youth.

Individuals throughout Delaware who lack basic knowledge and current research-based choices on renewable natural resource stewardship in our rural and urban communities have been reached to help them gain awareness and increase their capability to become better environmental stewards within their communities.

The University of Delaware New Castle County Cooperative Extension responded to the need to take Delaware Livable Landscape education to the source, to the homeowners’ properties and landscapes by creating the “Expert Eye” program.  Learn how to improve your landscape, identify and manage pests and diseases, prune, be a better gardener right in your own yard!

Family & Consumer Sciences
The number of individuals and households receiving SNAP benefits continues to rise in Delaware. Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed) provide a way for educators to teach about diet, physical activity, and health to empower their participants.
